Welcome
The Hemel Hempstead Cycling Club was formed in 1933 by group of 20 local cyclists. Membership is now up in the hundreds and the club caters for those who want to get together and ride bikes in the areas around Hemel, Watford, Berkhamsted and Tring.
The club promotes a varied programme of activities ranging from regular club rides and training sessions through to open competitions.
We are active in all branches of the sport. Road cycling, racing and sportifs, mountain biking and multisports.
The Club has produced champions at local, national and international levels. Members have ridden in the Olympic and Commonwealth Games with one bronze medal won in the Olympics in Montreal, 1976. Several members have subsequently had distinguished professional sports careers.
We cater for all the differing aspects of cycling, whether it is leisure or competitive. We always encourage and support new members to 'have-a-go' at a different aspect of this many-facited sport, making use of the wide range of facilities and experience in the Club.
The Club is affiliated to British Cycling, Cycling Time Trials , the British Cyclo-Cross Association, the Cyclist's Touring Club, the British Schools Cycling Association
and the British Triathlon Association.

Prospective members are welcome to join us in the Clubroom or on a Sunday ride before deciding to become a member, but please note that in order to race you do have to be a member of a Club for insurance purposes.
