The sessions will be held at the Clubroom in Nash Mills Recreation Centre on the following Mondays and are at 7.45pm for an 8pm start:
This session will cover the basics including the easy (& difficult) ways to remove wheels, tyres & tubes; fixing punctures; adjusting quick releases, axles & bearings; rims, spokes & hubs; wear & damage.
It will touch on bearing replacement and truing wheels.
A series of practical demonstrations covering most bike maintenance tasks given by Tim Hart and Simon Cooper.
All are welcome and are encouraged to bring their own bike(s) and bits (including replacement parts) so that they too can have a go. There will be a modest charge towards club funds for each session of £2 for adult members and parents of junior members, and £3 for non-members. Junior members are free but please note that the sessions are not tailored specifically for youngsters.
The sessions consist of a 1hr talk and demonstration followed by another hour where people can have a go themselves with assistance from Tim and Simon. If you have a specific request for help with something that is not covered by that evening's topics please contact Tim in advance as there may not be time to accommodate it during the session.
