Event Details

On 12 March 2011 our annual open road races, the Roy Thame Cup & Spring Chicken Road Races will once again be held on a rolling circuit near Charndon in Buckinghamshire. With luck this 23rd edition of the popular early season event (& for many years the previous incarnation the Circuit of Cublington making it 34 years) will be blessed with fair Spring weather as has been the case on so many previous occasions.
Two races take place during the day: the Spring Chicken RR starts at 10:00 and is for 3rd & 4th category riders over 70km (just over 4 laps). The Roy Thame Cup starts at 14:00 and is for Elite, 1st, 2nd & 3rd cats over a distance of 95km (just over 5 laps). The entry fee is £15 in advance for each event or £20 if you enter on the line or after the closing date.

The event is now closed. I will not accept ANY late entries.   I had to turn down Malcolm Elliott just after the closing date... and that killed me to do so as I'm a big fan... but I have promised all those who had entered on time to only allow those to be considered.

OK, below is the final line up. Numbers 1-80 are in the event. No's 81 onwards are reserves. On the day, any spaces left from riders not signing on by close will be taken by the reserves in order of listing - thus 81 is first reserve, 82 is 2nd reserve, etc. If I get any withdrawals between now and the day of the race I will email the next reserve to confirm they are in. Otherwise any reserve must sign in by the closing time to be considered for any remaining spaces. Any reserve that does sign on but is not allocated a space (as the max number of riders has already signed in) is eligable for a full refund of entry fee. Any reserve not signing on loses the right to a refund. Any rider withdrawing from now on cannot get a refund - the money is now allocated out.

All riders entered who are not on the list below have already been informed their entry is rejected. Any issues please email.

If hard copies are required let me know in plenty of time - or collect one on the day.
