Hemel Hempstead Cycling Club

The Venue for this year is the Berkhamsted Cricket Club on Saturday 6th March 2010.

It’s little different than usual. As we can make use of the Cricket Clubs changing facilities we have decided to have a light hearted roller racing event before hand which will start at 4:00 or later (please bring bike, gears restricted to 101” approx (53 x 14 or 50 x 13 for those on compacts), Fixed or geared bikes) and be finished in time for the 7:30 for 8:00 Hemel Hempstead Cycling Club Dinner and Prize Presentations.

Please arrive 7.30 pm for dinner at 8 pm. There is Parking at the rear of the Cricket Club.

Ticket prices are £25 per person

The Menu

Starters

• Fresh pea and smoked bacon soup with crusty bread.
• Chicken liver parfait with a grape chutney, dressed leaves and toasted brioche.
• Spinach, watercress and nutmeg soup finished with basil infused cream dressing.
• Vegetable and sesame seed spring rolls with an asian salad and black rice vinegar dressing.

Main Courses

• Braised blade of beef in a rich red wine sauce, with horseradish mash, roasted root vegetables and glazed shallots.
• Pan fried salmon fillet resting on swiss char with parmentier potatoes and sauce vierge.
• Chicken breast stuffed with ricotta cheese and basil, with roasted Mediterranean vegetables, black olive mash and a sweet red pepper sauce.
• Roast butternut squash and sage risotto with charred red pepper and micro shoot salad
