The club 25 was held this morning in superb sunny and warm conditions with not a breath of wind.

The winner was favourite Danny Axford (Arctic Premier RT) with a rather quick for the course 53:22, with Jessie Elzinger (Beeline Bicycles) 2nd well over 2 minutes down with Dave Johnson (VC 10) in 3rd just 22 seconds back. Hemel Hempstead CC's Jody Conibear was the fastest woman with 1:4:30 and she had a similarly big winning margin over over 2 minutes back to Nikki Hunt (VTTA London & Home Counties), with Josephine Perry over a minute and a half further back.

    Hi folks

Well what great weather? Nice and warm (around 22ÂșC at the start and didn't drop much) with almost no breeze and nice and bright. A good night for a fast time... except tonight it was the hilly - 3 laps of a 6.4 mile circuit. 15 riders took to the start - including a few who hadn't realised the hilly was this week.

    Hi folks,

Tonights event was held in fairly warm and bright but breezy conditions, with the longer outward leg into a tough headwind, although it didn't seem to help as much as expected on the way back. Actually the wind was probably similar to last week. But with the brighter weather it dod bring another 10 riders out compared to last week. Of the 10 riders that rode both last and this week, 9 of them went faster!

    Hi Folks,

What a contrast to last week - tonight was dull, cold, windy and even a bit of drizzle. And it put off a lot of people, with just a bakers dozen taking the start line.

Fastest on this tough day was Matt Meadows, who was 40 seconds down on last week but still had just over 20 seconds gap to John Lacey in 2nd. These 2 were some way clear of 3rd placed Stuart Turner. Andy Murray was 4th holding off Ian Brazier (Verulam CC) by a handful of seconds with Simon Hemington in 6th another 20 seconds later.

    Hi Folks,

The sunny warm weather brought loads of people out to the event tonight, with several new faces in amongst the established riders too, which is a great thing to see. The slight tailwind outward leg was welcome, with the return was tougher than expected, but it still resulted in a crop of new PB's or seasons bests.

We hope this hasn't caused too much inconvenience for anyone planning to take part on the 5th and look forward to seeing riders on the 12th June.
