The club's annual road races are fast approaching with the entries closing last Saturday I had 160 entries for the Spring Chicken RR and almost 140 for the Roy Thame Cup race... so very heavily oversubscribed. I have had to make a lot of very difficult decisions as to who to reject or accept.

Unsurprisingly the Reliability was cancelled today. The decision was taken Saturday evening when the snow was still piling up and it was clear no road riding would be possible - or at least not safely.

It has been decided to run the event the week after CC Luton one, so will be on Sunday 4 March - all details exactly as before.

The 79th annual Club Dinner was held last weekend in the fabulous Shendish Manor Hotel complex on the outskirts of Hemel. Almost 60 people gathered to celebrate the clubs and it's members achievements in 2011 and to award the trophys, medals and other awards won.

After a marvelous buffet dinner the multitude of awards were given out by the Club's oldest and longest serving member Sid Hall... who now in his 90's still enjoys the dinner each year and is just a few months shy of being a founder member of a club that is almost 80 years old!
