REGULAR SUNDAY MTB RIDE

Postby mulcherman » Thu Feb 05, 2009 5:01 pm

Just to remind everyone... don't slip and slide about on your expensive road bike - avoiding mums from Berko in their X5's - come and get plastered in mud and eat buns!

RAIN OR SHINE - 90% off-road. Moderately tough-ish ride from Hemel Station at 9am - going up to Potten End and then through Ashridge and down into Berko for coffee at 146. (- with extensions by instant rider poll!) Then off-road back to 'Emel. About 20 miles/2.5 hours...ish.

Bring: At least 2 tubes, helmet, proper bike & clothing.....and some money for buns. Justin.

If your favourite saying is "watch this for major skills" ... just before going over the bars into a ditch - then you have found the correct HHCC run....

Read this please: This ride is not suitable for total novices. It is a fun ride and we take a few tumbles but the conditions can be challenging. A degree of bike handling skill will be required - or a hard head! Sorry, no riders under 16, unless accompanied by a responsible riding adult - if there ever was such a thing...
My body is weak, but my mind is strong....

I turned up at Hemel Station at 8:50 this morning from London and there was no-one but a bunch of roadies to be seen. Did I get something wrong? is there likely to be any more rides? I figured since this post was made on Thursday, I wouldn't need to confirm.

Hi

Sorry we missed you, I think you just a little unlucky.
Of the main regular MTBers, one was ill, one injured, one on holiday and the rest elected to ride the HHCC reliability ride this week on the road.

Everything should be back to normal next week but give Tim Hart a ring on 01442 402323 to make sure.

Simon
ps
The post you have replied to was actually made last year.
