Hemel Hempstead Cycling Club

On the first Saturday of every month we run an off-road club ride for the youth members in Ashridge. It departs at 10am sharp unless otherwise stated.  The starting point varies to suit the condition of the tracks so look at the calendar or phone a coach to check the starting point.

Longer harder ride devised around the racing calender. Requires good level of fitness and skills, riders from other clubs will be taking part.

The fifth event starts at the Ickenham Guide Hut and travels out to Bledlow Ridge & Cryers Hill. Contact John Williams for more details.

Edgware RC 100km & 50km (start 9 am)

A slight relief from the previous hilly weeks as you will be delighted with this attractive undulating route. This event starts at the Denham Country Club and travels out to the Thames valley and at Marlow goes south on a fast flattish section through Windsor returning to Denham.

Hemel Hempstead CC 100km & 50km (start 9 am)

This third reliability trial of the series starts and finishes at the Hemel Hempstead CC clubhouse in Nash Mills recreation centre, near Kings Langley, Hemel Hempstead.

Team Quest 100km (start 9 am)

The start and finish is from the Ickenham Guide Hut in Community Close in Ickenham and the route travels out towards High Wycombe.

Harp RC 100km & 50km (start 9 am)

This first reliability trial of the series is the well-known Harp Hilly Hundred starting and finishing at the Hemel Hempstead CC clubroom.

This starts off following a similar route as the Hemel event through to Chesham then it takes on its own character taking on the hilly bits of the northern Chilterns through Berkhamsted, Whipsnade (the infamous Bison Hill) then onto Aston Hill near Halton and tracking back through Tring, Ivinghoe Beacon, Whelpley Hill via White Hill to the Hemel clubroom for a well earned rest.

It’s little different than usual. As we can make use of the Cricket Clubs changing facilities we have decided to have a light hearted roller racing event before hand which will start at 4:00 (please bring bike, gears restricted to 105”) and be finished in time for the 7:30 for 8:00 Hemel Hempstead Cycling Club Dinner and Prize Presentations.
