The Workshop, held on Monday 27th September at 20.00 comprises a brief overview of Sports Psychology, an introduction to mental toughness (what it is, how to find it, how to keep it), and a question and answer session at the end.
Keith Fletcher is again organising the cyclo-cross after the success of the previous two years’ events. With fast open racing for all abilities on the popular Longdean School course.
The annual hillclimb takes place on Ivinghoe Beacon, taking in a course of approx one and a half miles, starting from the bus stop lay-by opposite the Ivinghoe Aston road junction and going all the way to finish at the National Trust sign just before the top cattle grid.
First rider off at 10 am.
Club run normally starts out from Hemel railway station at 9 am to get to the start in time for anyone doing the run can participate in the event (or if you wimp out of that you can at least go up the hill to cheer on the ones that do!).
The club's annual open 10 mile time trial takes place on the Leighton Buzzard bypass course (code F12/10).
Entries for the event must be made on the Cycling Time Trials standard entry form - downloadable from the CTT website here: http://www.rttc.org.uk/AboutCTT/RiderInfo/FormsGuidanceNotes/tabid/77/De... (lots of forms there - seniors only need the front only page, juniors etc. need the full double page version). Under 18's need a parental consent completed (on the 2nd page of the full form).
On the first Saturday of every month we run an off-road club ride for the youth members in Ashridge. It departs at 10am sharp unless otherwise stated. The starting point varies to suit the condition of the tracks so look at the calendar or phone a coach to check the starting point.
In association with British Cycling, Hemel Hempstead Cycle Club would like to invite your children to attend a Bikeability road safety course on Tuesday 16th Feb to Thursday 18th Feb.
See this news story for full details.
It’s little different than usual. As we can make use of the Cricket Clubs changing facilities we have decided to have a light hearted roller racing event before hand which will start at 4:00 (please bring bike, gears restricted to 105”) and be finished in time for the 7:30 for 8:00 Hemel Hempstead Cycling Club Dinner and Prize Presentations.
