Sid Latchford, Open 10 and Open 25 mile Time Trials
Open Time Trials
The club promotes three open time trials. An early season classic hilly time trial, the Sid Latchford Memorial, a mid season fast 10 mile time trial and soon after an open 25 mile trial, the Paul Bennet Memorial.

Sid Latchford Hilly Time Trial

START at layby on A4146 Dagnall Road (GR TL029117) opposite Gade Valley Cottages just North of Gt. Gaddesden Parish Hall
Head north on A4146 to Dagnall RAB (3.7mls) where turn right onto B4506 Dunstable Road
Turn right – EXTREME CARE into B4540 (5.5mls) to climb 'Bison Hill' passing Whipsnade Zoo
At RAB (7.2mls) turn left onto B4541 to climb Dunstable Downs – FAST DESCENT FOLLOWS
At RAB junction (9.4mls) turn left onto B489 Tring Road/Icknield Way - CARE
Take care at pedestrian crossing immediately after junction - stop if necessary
Continue on B489 straight over RAB's at Eaton Bray (11.2mls) and Eddlesborough (12.4mls)
Turn left onto Beacon Road (13.9mls) CARE over cattle grids at bottom and top of climb
At Ringshall (16.5mls) turn left onto B4506 Ringshall Road - CARE – FAST DESCENT FOLLOWS
At Dagnall RAB (18mls) turn right onto A4146 - CARE

Open 10 Mile Time Trial

Tring & Aston Clinton bypass course F11/10
The club's annual open 10 mile time trial takes place on the Tring & Aston Clinton bypass course (code F11/10) on Saturday 15 June 2019.
Entries for the event must be made on the Cycling Time Trials standard entry form (2007 or 2011 versions only) - downloadable from the CTT website here: http://www.cyclingtimetrials.org.uk/Documents (lots of forms available here!) or enter online.
Entry fee is £12.00 (chq payable to Paul Thomson) and send that together with the completed entry form to the organiser:

Open 25 Mile Time Trial Paul Bennett Memorial Trophy

The event will incorporate the Paul Bennett Memorial Trophy in honour of the great rider who sadly left us in late 2014.
Ashenden village hall (nr Bicester) HQ
The clubs open time trials promotions continue the day after the open 10 with it's annual 25 mile time trial on the course code F13/25 - a course based on the A41 north of Aylesbury, starting and finishing a few miles south of Bicester and turning at the Parkway Station roundabout. The race HQ is in Ashenden village hall (a village just south of Bicester), and about 2 miles from the start and a mile from the finish. There are events for tandems and solo riders.
Entries for the event must be made on the Cycling Time Trials standard entry form (2007 or 2011 versions only) - downloadable from the CTT website here: http://www.cyclingtimetrials.org.uk/Information/RiderInfo/FormsGuidanceNotes/tabid/77/Default.aspx (lots of forms available here!), or preferably via the online entry system.
Entry fee is £10.00 (tandems £20) (chq payable to Hemel Hempstead Cycling Club) and send that together with the completed entry form to the organiser:
Water End Road
START in Launton Lane, off the A41, approximately 3 miles southeast of Bicester, at a point about 70 yards from the A41, some 30yards south of 'Give Way 100yards' sign, level with tree immediately before gated entrance.
Proceed to junction with A41, where turn left and continue along A41, through Kingswood past new RAB at
Woodham, through Waddesdon (Warning: two sets of pedestrian controlled lights!), to:-
TURN at RAB at Aylesbury Vale Parkway station, retrace outward route through Waddesdon (Warning: two sets of pedestrian controlled lights!), over Woodham RAB and Kingswood, past the end of Launton Lane, to turn left onto the B4011 (towards Thame) to:-
FINISH on the B4011, 2 miles from junction with A41.
