Carbon repairs

Postby dan powell » Fri Sep 27, 2013 2:29 pm

During a race this season one of my bottle cages was torn off my TT bike and in the process it managed to remove one of the bolt threads / rivnuts and the surrounding carbon from the tube. Does anyone know how or who I would contact locally to get this fixed?

I have seen a couple of Carbon Bike Repair specialists online (one in Derbyshire and one in Surrey) but ideally I would like to find someone a little closer to home to save dismantling, packing, posting and rebuilding my TT bike.

Any help / advice welcomed.

Sorry, not aware of anyone that close. I have sent off my disc wheel to HQ Fibre Products near Norwich for a repair to the rim and they did an outstanding job for very little money, and I know plenty of others that could say the same.

In the end I think you will have to strip it down anyway as the frame may need treatment that required it to be baked...
