Rob, Andrzej and I went to the first session held in lovely weather at Welwyn.

We all enjoyed it. It was the usual mix of through and off, sprints, points race and a scratch. Total time on the track was about 90 minutes so a pretty good workout and my legs certainly ached the next day. Mainly due to Rob pushing the pace up

Recommended to anybody, young and old who fancies an introduction to track racing as they had all abilities there.

Yes, a great day out. It has reawakened my love of track racing!

Rob is clearly a potential track star of the future, despite his multi-sporting priorities.

I endorse Simon's comments about giving the next session in June a go. They have bikes for hire at £2.00 a session and the ability range of the riders was very wide, so you do not need to worry about being too slow: there will almost certainly be someone slower (just like there is always someone faster!).
