Reputable Cycling Shops

Postby Alex Wall » Thu Jul 15, 2010 8:51 pm

Hello! I'm Alex and I'm new to the area, I was wondering which cycle shops are good for components and general maintenance? Anyone going out this weekend?

Thanks,

Hi Alex,

Welcome to the forum - and to the Hemel club - are you a member yet?

In Hemel you have Leisurewheels in the old High Street - not too bad and can get most bits in if they haven't got it in stock.

St Albans there are a couple - Addiktion is one used by a few.

Further afield you have The Bike Shop in Harrow that is popular with members who go that way. Going north you have Phil Corley Cycles in Milton Keynes. Both these shops have pretty big ranges of equipment and all these shops are reasonable for repairs.

http://www.hemelcycling.org.uk/membersh ... p-benefits might help too..

Thanks very much for the reply Paul.

I'll pop along to the social on Monday and see what happens.

Cheers,
Alex

You Might want to also check out the cycle surgery at the Hemel ski club, its run by active and experienced cyclists and they price match the internet and magazines.

Probably the best place locally is Cycle Sport in Gaddesden Row.
Good stock, reasonable prices and unbeatable in respect of helpful friendly service.
Not a shop as such, as their business is mainly via the web, but they will do retail sales.
