17 May mtb epic in Ashridge

Postby hbojarski » Sun May 11, 2008 9:06 pm

This coming Saturday 17 May the go-riders are heading into Ashridge for an epic 2-hour mtb ride. How else do you describe up to 28 young riders aged 8-12, some pretty expert already and others going on one of their first real outings into the woods? There is a dedicated core of coaches and helpers but as you can imagine we will be very grateful for any additional adult helpers - bike and helmet is all that is required. There will be 3 groups for all abilities so whether you are a handy rider or more of a leisure off-roader then there will be a group where you will be appreciated. The coaches are responsible for the riders, we are looking for the helpers just to be extra eyes and ears, to make sure no-one gets lost off the front or back, and to pass on pearls of cycling wisdom (as appropriate). Cast-iron guarantee that no-one will be dropped. Payment consists of tea and buns in the monument cafe. If you can help then please get in touch with me, Clare Muir or one of the other coaches. We meet 10am at the monument.
