I would just like to apologise to the half a dozen or so people that I had to refuse a ride to - we really didn't have a choice as the event was full to the limits where if we set off any more then you may well have still been riding when it was officially lighting up time.

This is the first time in all the years I have been riding and organising our tens that this has happened. I would also like to thank Steve Judd who kindly gave up his place so that a Hemel rider could ride.

As this was the last ten of the season, then of course all the season long competitions have been decided (if they weren't before now!).

On Scratch Points, Ruth Grint continued her stellar first season with a runaway win in this, with 199 points out of a possible 200. Second was Annette Lacey on 177 points with Carol Macdonald 3rd on 163 points.

John Lacey Stitched up the mens Scratch some time ago with his unbeatable 200 points. Felix Langley came 2nd on 176 and Rob Pinfield just jumping into 3rd with his ride tonight to tot up 161 points.

On the Handicap Points competition, Ruth Grint once again topped the tables with 172 points, Felix Langley gained another 2nd place on 156 and Michael Donovan was 3rd on 144 points.

The final season long competition is the best Vets standard plus for the whole year, and this went to the supervet John Lacey with his best plus of +5:33 compared to John Dowling's 2nd placed +4:38 and Geoff Reynolds +3:26.

Hi all,

First of all I think a sincere vote of thanks are due to Paul for once again organising our Evening Tens throughout the year. A great deal of work is involved with this, and also many thanks to all of you, both club members and those from many parts of the Country who have supported these. I think that 2015 has seen a record number of participants and also some very fast rides from a number of riders.

As our large field (the largest I have ever timed for the final 10) meant that a number of riders were taking part in gloomy conditions, I feel VERY strongly that we insist in future years that ALL riders MUST start with a GOOD working rear light. For over 50 years I have "Counted you all out and counted you all back"! I would like this to continue for as long as I carry on Timekeeping! and of course longer.

Enjoy the rest of your season and I hope to see you all next season.

Bob
