Do they still go to club secretary or come direct now, I don't recall?

Always have gone to the Club Secretary,

If your membership has renewed then Dave Rogers will get it sent. You won't actually need it until you go to your first race - you keep the same membership number. You can also check to see if your 2010 licence has been issued as it will say so on your personal membership page on the BC website. (mine still says 2009 licence as my membership runs from 17 March - god knows how that happened cos I've been paying for calendar years since 1980)

On the list which recently came from BC it says that your licence renewal date is 1st March. Let me know if you have any early races around that date as instead of posting it to you I can get it direct to you. Have you notified BC of your change of address? In fact I don't think I know what your new address is.

Licence IS renewed by calendar year. However you need a valid membership for the whole calendar year, so as your membership runs out on 1 March then they will not issue a new licence until you renew your membership to 31 December or beyond. Ring up BC membership and they will sort you out.
The membership expiring at a different date to the calendar year is a big issue with many people, and I have no idea why they started doing it this way (although it must have been 8 to 10 years ago they did so).
