SINCE 1933

Hemel Cycling Club is a friendly, active, cycle-sport club based in the heart of Hemel Hempstead. Riding year round, we take in everything from winding country lanes to gravel adventures across Hertfordshire’s best routes.

Run entirely by dedicated volunteers, the club is built by riders, for riders – with a shared love of cycling. Our heritage underpins every ride, shaping a forward looking club built on strong foundations.

THERE’S ALWAYS A RIDE HAPPENING AT HHCC

Saturday Social Rides offer a relaxed two-hour spin, with an optional café stop and an easy roll back to Hemel, it’s the perfect way to start your weekend.

On Sundays, we head further afield with 30-50+ mile rides. Expect quiet country lanes, rolling roads and iconic climbs across West Herts, South Bucks and the Chilterns.

Looking for something different? We also run adventurous weekend gravel rides and Mellow Monday evening rides throughout the summer months (May–August).

SUMMER IS WHEN WE GO FURTHER

Our long summer Sunday rides are all-day affairs, complete with multiple café stops and some of our most memorable routes of the year.

These rides are perfect if you’re training for a sportive or simply fancy an epic day on the bike.

This summer’s adventures include:
May – Isle of Wight Whizz, June – Cambridge and back, July – Spire and Spoke,
August – Jordans Mill, September – Alps Trip (TBC)

  • March 1: Spring Classic Reliability Rides
  • March 29th: The Sid Latchford Hilly Time Trial
  • April-August: The Club’s 10 mile Time Trial series
  • October 4: Ivinghoe Beacon Hill Climb
  • November: Hemel Cyclocross (Date TBC)
