We started in the dry and after the first rider departed it started raining, gradually getting heavier, then it eased a little and then torrential rain, thunder & lightning. It was a bit of a juggling act controlling an umbrella, clipboard, watches and trying to write times down and I was fearful for the riders as it was difficult to see the last few cross the finish line but I did see Oscar cross 3 seconds quicker than last week, congratulations on another course record. There were some good rides all round considering the conditions. Steve didn't time the tractor run correctly this week as it went through a few minutes before he left, but thanks Steve for the lift home, I don't think the timing sheets and watches would have survived the cycle home. I did see a few riders at the HQ but didn't see them cross the line so assume that they didn't start, commiserations to Alastair who punctured.
Thanks to everyone who rode, also those who came along, but didn't ride, those that marshalled in those conditions, Nick for the start sheet and Nigel for organising.
Sadly next week is the last 10 and the start will be 7pm and hopefully it will be a glorious summer evening.
