Threatening skies greeted the riders on the start line. Leon started at no 8 but was first back over the finishing in an amazing 20:39. With the skies getting darker, soon after Leon finished the heavens opened and the rain came down in the proverbial stair rods. All riders that started safely finished but it was very dark and quite a relief to get back to the HQ.

Thanks to Stan for pushing off and Andy M and Zoë for marshalling and also to Nigel for organising and tea pot master.

Next week will be in the usual HQ at 7.30 and it would be really lovely to have a warm dry sunny evening.
